Bear Valley SE, 1994 model - Tange 20" Frame Retro Bike - Really want to get this back, it was set up in great working order as my daily rider bike. I know all it's marks & quirks - so I would recognise it instantly. I spent hours cleaning it up & setting it up. Spec & features as follows (at point of theft): (Blue sticker reads) - Tange Cr-Mo Frame double butted O.S. Tubes. Light weight frame, TIG welded joints on F&F (Made in Taiwan - stamped on BB tube) Silver Decals, Shimano STX Cantilever Brakes, Custom fitted - Silver Shimano one piece shifter /brake levers. Silver Cr-Mo Marin Lite stem & Handlebars, Black Ergonomic Grips + silver bull horn bars. 21 speed Shimano gears, 175mm Japan STX Crank arms - Tinted smoked grey, Black front Chainring, STX front derailleur, VERY Distinctive Blue anodised Bottle cage bolts. Blue anodised Marin Seat clamp pin, Blue anodised valve caps. Black 'Ritchey -Logic' Head Set. American Flag decal on right side of top tube. fitted with a VERY Distinctive!! Retro front Tan Wall tyre (Tread fitted in wrong direction). Rear Tyre - Explorer (Orange Text). WTB Comfort saddle. (Yellow text on back). Double butted stays, After Burner Decals, Marin Rock Star Cr-Mo Forks, Black Wellgo pedals C127. Small Rear red Cat Eye RR-160 (Japan) reflector - frame mounted. Had a pedometer fitted to left side of handlebars. Had a red plastic band fitted to seat post. Custom Fitted with RARE!! Black 26 x 1.50 HE Araya CV-7 rims Made in Japan 1980's (Pink Araya stickers), chrome quick release skewers, Silver EXAGE Shimano hubs. - wheels Run Very True. - had been cleaned. The spokes are Ultra clean!! & sparkle like new!!!. the Rim walls are VERY distinctive - as they are slightly concave due to 30 years of brake rub. The Skewers are VERY Distinctive - as they have Black rubber Thumb Grips set in the metal levers. This bike is in perfect working order, gears run very smooth!!!. Paint work & Decals are in lovely condition for it's age!! RARE - You won't see many of these bikes about in this condition. In the hands of a dodgy dealer this bike could only be traded on for about £30 - £40 quick cash, tops. It would have to be sold through an auction site (with good bike knowledge) to achieve anything more. Taken from my Garden (In the evening), in the South Birmingham area. Most likely to be circulating in near by areas such as - Northfield, Shenley, Weoley Castle, Frankley, West Heath, Longbridge, Kings Norton, Kings Heath, Stirchley, Selly Oak. Places it may be seen being used?, Locked up? or dumped ?: Northfield Shopping area, Bristol Road South, Bunbury Road area, Victoria Common & Near by Parks / Bournville Parks & Train stations, The cycle trail along Merritts Brook into Manor Farm Park (Northfield). Route 5 Cycle trail along the River Rea up to Cannon Hill Park, Canal Paths into City Centre. Maybe stashed in a garden or garage or shared dwelling. - Or may appear at some point on sites like Gumtree, Ebay, Pinkbikes, Shpock, Preloved, Facebook - or maybe offered to a secondhand store for cash?
