Recovery Description

I called 101 and reported my bike missing then later in the morning an officer phoned and took more details and supplied me with a crime number. I gave clear descriptions such as there's a bit of red tape on the chain housing, there's no chain guard, I have star reflectors on the spokes and from this they were able to marry up two reports. Mine and one from an officer who had come across a man on my bike (a small framed ladies bike). The man tried to run but the police caught him. The guy told them he'd found it so he was originally charged with theft from finding but with my report it was just theft. The police came and brought my bike back to me and took a statement. My U-Lock was gone but that was a small detail. Thanks to Police Scotland braving Glasgow Green I can cycle for another day!
