Bike Description

Datatag label number - DGB60107715

The frame has a Datatag Transponder embedded in the material of the frame.

The group set on the bike is Shimano Ultegra Di2 which is all marked with Datatag labels, The rear mech has a sticky carbon fabric cover, covering crash marks.

The bike was also fitted with a Stages Power Meter Crank which has a Sensor Number 35461 [this is a fixed ID like a PIN number that cannot be changed and can be detected even if the label is removed]

The bike has an integrated Speed and Cadence Sensor in the chain stay of the frame that has has an Sensor ID 18612 [this is a fixed ID like a PIN number that cannot be changed]

The rear right chain stay has a crash damage repair covered with black electrical tape and neoprene chain protector.

The bottom bracket has a repair shim and oversize bearings fitted by Trek

The handle bars are an after market fit of 42cm as I need wider bars for long distance rides.  Standard or 38cm so that is a quick identifying feature

The bike was also fitted with Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels

Theft Description

The bike was locked in the so called secure bike parking at the Ride London Free Ride Festival area, while I was visiting the area as part of the Ride London Free Ride Route.  I could not have left it more visable but somehow they managed to be able to use what must have been large bolt croppers to cut the hard wire lock while with hundreds of people all around them.  I saw no evidence of security patrolling the bike park! My RLFR number was 17045.  I have already check the photos to see if they caught the thief riding away. Another bike also had its locks bolt cropped at around the same time. The bike is extensively data tagged so I am hopping they will have realised its hard to sell even the parts and they dump it somewhere, minus the wheels!
