Bike Description
This is a man's 'road bike', not a racer, not a mountain bike. It has 3speed Sturmey Archer gears, currently not working due to a snapped cable which is knotted just under the handle bars. This bike has it's original colour silver mudguards, same coloured chain guard and a self coloured (green) back rack. The front mudguard is currently partially snapped off. The saddle is mainly black with silvery grey design, and is made out of a padded firm foam. When stolen, it had two locks on the handlebars (I had forgotten to lock it!), one was a heavy duty 'armoured' style Giant lock, black with blue near key hole. The other lock was a black cable type lock. Both locks had PVC type 'sleeves' - the Giant lock had split and worn covering. There were two sets of lights on this bike, one set new, and several reflectors. Two large silvery/white disc shaped reflectors on the front handlebar area, a similar red one attached under the saddle about 7.5 cm / 3inch diameter. There were also reflectors attached to the spokes back and front wheels, and a large red reflector on the back rack. The paint work is scuffed in places, due to being dropped and several encounters with motor vehicles etc. The tyres are a little worn but good quality with Kevlar linings, so do not puncture easily. When last seen, this bike had a red bungee on the back rack, and a small black bag fixed under the handlebars, with another bungee inside. Though not a particularly large frame, the saddle and handlebars are set low 'cos I'm a shortarse. The biked means a lot to me, reward for finder.Theft Description
