On Thursday 9/11/17 my lovely white Raleigh Caprice was stolen from Tower Gardens in York next to the river cruises. It has a brown wicker basket, a large and very old silver bell on the left hand side and small flowers in the framework paint. the handle grips are slightly damaged.Theft Description
Stolen in York on Thursday the 9th November 2017. Locked in Tower gardens on designated cycle racks just next to where people can jump onto the river cruises, was stolen between 10.30am - 13.30pm. Great sentimental value as was a 21st birthday present and used all the time.Recovery Description
2 and a half weeks later my bike was advertised on Facebook market and Gumtree for £80! It was all the way in Gateshead. I contacted the seller and pretended I was interested in the bike, I knew instantly when we saw it that it was mine and asked the man where he got it from, he said from a car boot sale last weekend. I'm not sure if I believe him but I just wanted it back so gave him £70 and so happy! Persistence by scouring the internet pays off!!
