2002 Cove Hummer frame, built with Shimano XTR groupset, Deore brakes, Surly rigid forks, Thomson seatpost and WTB saddle, Mavic rims on Hope Hubs, Schwalbe tyres, Spank stem and Sunline bars. Seatpost still has the small trailer hitch attached. A very distinctive bike - you won't see another one like this!Theft Description
Bike was taken from shed - shed hasp and staple were crowbarred off and bike taken.Recovery Description
Spread the word as wide as possible and as quickly as possible - my bikes were found as the importer of one of the frames was informed of the theft. They had someone call asking odd questions about a frame, which turned out to be mine. The buyer had also bought my stolen Cove. Start checking Gumtree etc as soon as you discover the theft - my bikes were sold within 12 hours of being stolen, and the ad taken down. I've also been informed that a lot of stolen bikes are posted for a short period, then taken down for a while, then reposted etc - this is to try and evade sites that scrape and aggregate content (such as your site). Not sure what has happened to the thief - he was already known to the police and they were planning to make an arrest but I haven't heard anything since.
