Bike Description

18" frame 29er, matte black with orange front forks and orange and blue trim, Kenda Split Six tyres, printed on the sides of them in bold white type. Had white crud-catcher mudguards fitted front and rear (front attached to the frame rather than the forks). The front and rear reflectors had been removed, and it had a round, grey LED front light fitted to the left side of the handlebars, and a 3-LED vertical rear light fitted about halfway up the seat post. The seat post was set very high as I prefer and elevated riding position. The bike was 2 days old when taken, so there were no scuffs or scratches on it, although it had some mud splatters on it from a brief ride round my local nature reserve the previous day.

Theft Description

Left the bike chained up, using a fairly heavy duty cable lock, to a bench outside PureGym in Beeston, Nottingham, at around 15.10 on the 4th of April whilst I went into the adjacent B&M Bargains to buy a couple of items. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, and when I got back to the place where I'd left the bike, there was nothing there except the lock, which had been cut clean through. This was in a street with fairly high footfall in broad daylight, so I though it was a safe place to leave it. The police have been less than helpful, other than radioing out a "lookout request" when I reported it stolen, and saying they mentioned it in dispatches the next morning, they've done next to nothing to find it.
