Bike Description

STOLEN – vintage 1979 metallic red steel-framed men’s Edwardes Royal Derby bicycle

22½” frame; 26” wheels with Michelin tyres.

Distinctive black 'Grifter' handlebars and grips, 3 Sturmey Archer gears, aluminium sprung luggage rack over back wheel, long mudguards.

Front chrome bullet lamp (not as in picture), original 1970s round Huret speedo (reading approx. 2700 miles), chrome bell and black tool pouch fitted to handlebars. Prop stand.

Very good condition.

Theft Description

Stolen when locked to bike stand outside Central Library, Manchester, facing the Midland Hotel. No evidence of damage or discarded items from the theft.
