Bike Description
My bike was an XL blue frame, identifiable features are a broken bell on the left handlebar, a chain lock in blue wearable material wrapped around the seat post, a saddle bag with the key to the lock and puncture repair kit inside.Theft Description
I was mugged at knife point by 4 white local youths. The mugging took place at the chicane boulders section along the ‘yellow brick road’ path (leading to the Ashton canal) by the green just behind Matalan in Openshaw. As I slowed down I was surrounded and at least one of the lads pulled a 10inch kitchen knife on me. I was instructed to get off and threatened to stab me several times, getting more aggressive with the knife each time until I surrendered my bike. The police were called and apparently they did this to someone else half an hour later (while I was giving my police statement).
