11th April 2024, Around 17:15 I locked up my bike on the street bike pole, outside Mountain Warehouse on Queens Road Brighton. It had a D-Lock through the body and back wheel, the back wheel has an internal lock and it has an alarm. 17:26 leaving Mountain Warehouse shop, it had been stolen in that small timeframe. The bike has an alarm, is heavy and the back wheel would’ve been locked - so whoever took it would’ve stood out as they carried it/lifted the back wheel. All with a loud alarm going. Queens Road is a major street to the station, so many people would've seen it. And video footage is welcome. I appreciate this is common and I took as many steps as I could. I’ve recently had to give up my job to be a full time carer for my dad who has just come out of hospital after a stroke, I need the bike to get to A&E and run his errands. Life isn’t fair, is it. Crossing everything.
