Bike Description

Our electric cargo bike (Riese & Muller Multicharger GT Vario Mixte, delivered December 2021) was stolen from Cheltenham Spa rail station some time last night or this morning (between 1700 on 16 August 2022 and 2100 on 17 August 2022). It was locked on the platform 2 side, *inside* the ticket gates, with a combination cable lock and integrated ABUS wheel lock. I actually took a photo of it in the exact space it was stolen from -- my husband locked it there Tuesday morning on his way out of town, and I locked mine next to it (which is how I know it was still there at 1700 on Tuesday -- I saw it when unlocking my bike).

Update: We've heard from friends that the bike may have been spotted under the Queens Road bridge on the Honeybourne Line. Went there tonight (17 August, 22:45ish) and it's not there or nearby, and there *are* tire tracks.   UPDATE 2: Just wanted to give a HUGE thank-you shoutout to "Harry" for this terrifically helpful reply: "How can you leave them two bikes on a wire lock very very silly". As stated above, the cable lock is only a backup; both bikes have ABUS locks as well, and the bikes were parked inside the ticket barriers at the station.

Recovery Description

Thanks very much to the bike community around Cheltenham and to the police! Bike was spotted, reported, and picked up, the community got the word to us, and we're at the police station claiming it back now.
