Bike Description

knackered old Raleigh MTB 1984 era, with rust developing in the tubes and around the joins. Rusting chrome handlebars. Gear cables about to go. I'd replaced the rear brake cable and hadn't got any wire cutters, so the cable is looped at the back brake. The pedal bearings are knackered and need replacing, and make an alarming clack and creak sound, like the rider is terminally arthritic. Small hole in the saddle fabric, so the sponge material tends to absorb on a rainy day, and give you a wet bum on a dry day as you slowly squeeze the sponge whilst pedalling and it comes back through. It's got some mudguards which don't fasten to the mudguard stays properly and vibrate and rattle unpleasantly. It's in much worse condition than the photo; living next to the sea, you can't stop a bike rusting. It was locked. People will nick anything I guess.

Theft Description

It was levered off a bike carrier which simply broke the bike carrier lock. I was just about to bring it in and see if it was fixable. Frankly, it's on the verge of dangerous to ride, I'd loosened various parts of it.
