Bike Description
Large size Giant e-bike. Fitted with Abus Pro Shield XPlus rear frame to back wheel lock. Bike fitted with electronic control unit on left hand handlebar. Central motor unit. Battery removal needs an Abus key. Charging battery needs Giant specialist plugs.Theft Description
Bike was on a MaxxRaxx bike rack on a car parked in the Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. The bike was secured to the bike rack by four locks (2 x Abus; 1 x Halfords Heavy Duty; 1 x MaxxRaxx cable lock). Theft was a result of hotel staff seeing 'unusual' activity. Hotel reported theft to police. I contacted Hampshire Police to fill in details of bike.
