Bike Description
It was been stolen on 7th November while attached with a kryptonite U-Lock to a pole in a busy bloomsbury street in London outside of a security pod. The lock has been snapped, there was nothing left, so definitely a professional did that. The bike is 3.5 years old. Good general conditions but the cable for the brakes is a bit damaged. There were some luminescent 'straws' around the wheels but they must have been removed by the thief by now. It is registered with the police and has the sticker "Bike Register" on it on the large metal horizontal bar, facing up. The battery is 1.5 years old so it won't take long before it doesn't work anymore (a new one is 200 pounds and takes 3 weeks to arrive), so it's not even a good bargain for any buyer!! On top of that, I had an accident with it in January 2017 and the brakes aren't very good. There are 2 missing bits on each sides of the handlebars, just 2 small bits that cover the inside hollow part of the handlebars. But this might have been added by the thief to resell the bike and make it look newer. There aren't many of these bikes in London and I am hopeful that I will bump into my bike one day, in an ad online or in the street. The theft has been reported to the police. It was also registered with them.Theft Description
It was stolen between 6pm and 10.30 pm while I was at a lecture at UCL's Harry Massey building. It was stolen just under a CCTV camera. The Ulock (Kryptonite) has been snapped without any traces of anything. Nothing was left when I arrived. I assume they are professionals. It is a busy street between the Student's cafe and the Wellcome Library. The security guards haven't seen anything either. The bike was attached to the first pole on Gower Place outside of the UCL Gordon's Cafe.
