Recovery Description
a year after my bike was pinched I had given up hope and had stopped checking the usual online places, but luckily, I was still getting your regular emails of listings matching my search... so came across a Gumtree advert, listing it as a found bike trying to find the owner (... or Cinderella who had lost her slipper!) via the search I had set up on FindThatBike.co.uk. The actual Gumtree advert had ended, so I wasn't able to contact the person who posted it, so I reached out to our Bristol Cyclists community on Facebook who helped within minutes - they found the previous posts and eBay ad with the persons contact details. Meanwhile, I posted an ad on Gumtree asking him to get in touch and he did!! I took him a pumpkin as a thank you - trading in my pumpkin for my carriage! The slipper still fits perfectly. As well as it being Easter Sunday, it's my birthday tomorrow, couldn't think of a better present! Thank you for setting up this website, I would have stopped looking online for my beloved Dawes bicycle.
