Cannondale Synapse 2 2023 Road bike, black model with frame number ME42400. The bike was locked with a Kryptonite Kryptolok Standard U-Lock With 4 Foot Kryptoflex Cable - Sold Secure Gold. The U-lock secured the bike frame to a steel bike rack. The cable secured both wheels to the U-lock. Within the crime location, metallic powder can be observed: this could be either from the U-lock, the bike frame, or both. Attachments included: basic Tredz pedals, Cateye BM45 Bar End Mirror fixed to the right end of the handle, and a metallic Triban bottle holder fixed to the vertical tube within the frame.
