Bike Description
Black M6R Brompton, year of manufacture 2006, main frame Black with Silver/Grey forks, a colour scheme not so common these days. The bike had marks and chips appropriate for its age. The bike originally had dynamo lighting fitted but the dynamo had broken off from the rear stay. However the original lights were still fitted and wired but obviously not working. The bike was of an age before the rear triangle locking mechanism was installed however I had the mechanism fitted later. The usual Brompton bell fitted on the handlebar no longer had a striker, so didn't work. Also, the derailleur gear was not working at the time of the theft.Theft Description
The bike was parked outside of Sainsbury's West Ealing for about an hour, where it was locked with a D-Lock to the steel bike stand outside the store and within the range of Sainsbury's CCTV. The CCTV footage shows the thief riding the bike away, wearing a baseball hat and a Covid mask, hence the police say they are unable to identify the thief.
