Bike Description

I purchased the black Brompton folding bicycle, a couple of lights and a basket from the Fudges bicycle shop on the Harrow Road W9 back in 2013.  It has silver handlebars, six gears, two mudguards and the original leather seat. II cost me just over a thousand pounds to purchase the bike. Since then, I have changed both tyres to tubeless tyres.  I have also changed to a softer suspension and changed to a longer saddle post. I have also removed and replaced the original fixed rubber handle grips with a pair of black rubber handle grips, which I had to screw on to the handle bars.  The brake pads will soon need changing. When peddling the mechanism makes a squeaking sound when not lubricated.

I mainly used the bicycle for commuting to and back from work (from NW8 to W14 9BL Monday to Friday)

Theft Description

A young caucasian male shouted at me whilst riding my bike to get my attention. I stopped and dismounted my bike as I thought it might be someone who knew me. He told me he has never ridden on a Brompton bike before and would like to have a ride within close proximity of where I was standing.  I was in two minds to give him my bike, he said that he would just be close within the area.  He then peddled away from me for a fews seconds and never returned. I waited a few seconds and followed the direction he took for about 20-30 yards, but he was nowhere to be found. He just disappeared. I was in the W9 area of Lanark Place, near Tesco,  and Clifton Greens and the surrounding roads were Maida Vale  Road and Randolph Avenue and Clifton Road. I believe this young man resides near the area as he disappeared very quickly. I also remember that a number of months before, this same young man attempted to get my attention whilst standing in front of the Pub in Lanark Pl. , but I was in a rush and didn't stop.
