Bike Description

Just a brief overview:
  • Age: 3 months old;
  • Frame: Lightweight, triple butted and smooth welded X7 alloy frame, frame size 54 cm;
  • Forks: Aluminium bladed fork with cromo steerer;
  • Gears: 18 speed Shimano Acera gears;
  • Brakes: Tektro hydraulic disc brakes front and back;
  • Tyres: 2 Continental Gatorskin 700 x 23C puncture proof tires; and
  • Extras: Halfords saddle gel, rear plastic mudguard, and a black metal rear luggage rack.
It's quite a distinctive bike, esp with the mudguard that sits over my rear luggage rack. On the main frame of the bike there's a little contraption to hold my D-Lock, and then there's another thing to hold a small hand pump There's also some scratches on the main frame of the bike (the bit in between the legs) , when I parked and tied it up against a concrete lamp post. For the pictures, I've taken them from the Halfords site, as I have none of my own.  I've also included a picture of the mudguard that was attached to the seat shaft, and the black pannier rack that was attached on the rear of the frame over the back wheel. Theft Description

I'd locked it up by the bike shed behind the London Academy of Excellence in Stratford as I had a late shift at work, around 6pm on 4rth October 2016.  I locked it up with a D lock through the back wheel and frame and then a cable lock through both the front wheel and back wheel and the bike rack itself.  There was CCTV outside the premises, so I thought it'd be safe till the morning.  I didn't the collect the bike as I was exhausted at work, and thought I would collect it in the morning (7am), by which point it had already been stolen. I went to reception at London Academy of Excellence and they said they saw someone fiddling with the bike around 3 am, literally 4 hours before I came to collect my bike.  It was apparently a 10 minute job, and the thick cable lock had been cut through, and the assailant was seen walking towards Stratford Station and then took a right along Farthingale Walk towards the Courthouse.  I am currently procuring CCTV footage from the government building located on Farthingale Walk, so we should be able to get a face, as that little lane, is usually well lit.
