26″ upright frame no. 9734 in 531 steel, new to order 1997

Home-designed headlock built into frame.

11″ bottom bracket height.

7½″ TA cranks.

TA double chainwheel, 32T and 52T.

Sturmey-Archer 3-speed alloy hub with drum brake (and home-made extension for cable), fitted with special splined driver with 13T, 21T and 28T sprockets.

Shimano mechanisms, non-indexed.

700x32C alloy rims with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres.  

Cantilever brakes front and rear, with reverse levers at handle bar ends.

Lightspin dynamo, Swiss, with home-made replacement for faulty off-click mechanism.

Theft Description

Carried out in 5 minutes by unseen passer-by while bike leant against lamp-post, with only the head-lock locked, at foot of small hillock crowned by bushes. I walked round the bushes looking for blackberries (there were none) and found it gone.
