Bike Description
Scott Gambler 30 2014 Downhill bike Everything on the bike is standard to the model, the only thing changed are the grips from the standard Syncros Lockons to some White B'Twin Lockons. The bike is well overdue a service so local bike shops could see it, but obviously it's not hard to do your own service. The Syncros saddle has a rip in the seat from falling off and the seat post has a groove made by a hand saw to show the max seat height. There is a wear mark on the left side of the headtube made by cable rubbing, it should be blue paint but silver is showing from the frame. The front tyre is different to the back, Schwable Magic Mary on the front and Maxxis DHF on the back. There are marks on the lowers on the fork and the decals has been scuffed up. It still has the "M" sticker on the seat tube behind the swingarm to display the frame size.Theft Description
Thieves climbed over my back fence about 7-7:15pm on the night of Tuesday 10th of November. They had unlocked the gate and wheeled the bike out, leaving another bike in the garden untouched. They then left the gate open and took off into the night.Recovery Description
Only recovered the frame. A few days after the bike was stolen the frame and forks were posted on ebay. The frame was sold quickly and the guy who had the forks was adamant they weren't stolen and were from a reliable source. I then see the frame again being sold on pinkbike as a whole new build. Spoke to the seller and the police went and picked up the frame and other dude got refund for buying stolen goods. Happy days
