they stole the bike from outside the flat, it had been D locked to bike brackets that were put up by the building owners. There are numerous bikes around and this was the only one taken, suggesting a targeted theft. They drilled the bike bracket from the wall and took the whole thing away, rather than try to break the D lock. It is a gated block of flats so they got in and out, so they must have gained entry but the CCTV time frame is long and the police are unwilling to look at it fully themselves, they have asked if other agencies will.
