Theft Description
Two U-shaped steel bike stands have been bolted to the ground of a private parking bay located in Surbiton, KT58EA. The parking bay does not have gated access, but is hidden from view of the main road. The bicycle was secured to the bike stand via an Abus chain lock connected to the front wheel and frame, and a kryptonite new york fahgettaboudit mini between the frame and the stand. The stand has been unbolted on one leg and cut through on the other. This has allowed the thieves to remove the bicycle from the stand. At the same time, an adjacent bike has been vandalised with the rear wheel buckled and bent such that it no longer functions as a wheel.
