Stolen Trek Ex 8, 2007 model

Bike Description

Dark grey frame with black fox rear shock and suspension rocker. Lighter grey fox float front forks and black bars, stem, seat post and wtb rocket seat. Black Bontrager stem, bars, seat post and QR wheels (race lite decals). Shimano Deore LX group set (gears, shifters, brakes and crank set) all in silver with XT rear derailleur and quick release pedals. Brakes are LX hydraulic discs. Personal Identification on My bike. It has a deep jagged half circular scratch on the LHS of top tube that I painted in near the white block lettering of Ex8, like all the decals on the bike frame. Black Yeti grips, Tioga front and WTB rear tyres. The black seat collar clamp has gone a bronze type brown colour over time but the QR lever is still black. The rear gear cable finishes at the point it is clamped rather than extending past with a cable end as it was ripped off with a rock strike but gears still worked ok so never changed it. The crank only has a small amount of the wording Deore LX rubbed off on the chain and sprocket side from heal rub.

Theft Description

I live in an upstairs flat with its own front door and seperate inner door. I left it right outside, against the wall while I open the inner door as it has a fire closer on it then came down the stairs to bring the bike in as I have been doing for the past 7-8 years. I was probably away from the sight of my bike for half a minute, maybe someone saw me walk away from it. It was dark and quite late, approx time 9.30 PM. It was stolen from my property in central Northampton town. I live on a linking path that joins two streets together so there is four directions which the thief could have made his exit..
