Bike Description
Little red stickers on forward end on top of the crossbar & upper of left hand seat
“super star components” sticker on upper of right hand seat stay.
Taped on piece of rubber inner tube on right hand chain stay for protection (was in place in adverts but is easily removed)
If the above mentioned inner tube is removed then underneath the right hand chain stay is in perfect condition – very unusual for any mountain bike as the chain chips this is the first ride unless protection used since brand new (it normally isn’t)
“hope” logos on top of handlebar stem
Gold stanchions on suspension forks – very rare for this model of bike as they were modified by the importers especially for me. At the top of each leg there is the small logo “Kashima Coat”
Front & back brake callipers & brake levers are Shimano XT series which is unusual on this model of bike. Also being silver isn’t that common (pics 4384 & 4417)
The brake pads in both front & back brake callipers are red. This is pretty much unique as they are especially fitted Kevlar pads.
Both tyres are “Nobby Nic” tyres – not exactly rare but not common either.
Frame serial number stamped into the under-side of the bottom bracket (where the cranks go through) : GT3G0404. Note, my other bike that was stolen at the same time by the same person which I’ve since recovered had its serial number ground off & roughly painted over in black paint so I assume the missing bike would have had the same treatment.
