Dark blue Ribble road bike. I am 6"2' so it's a large frame size, maybe 58-60cm. It has a silver bottle holder on the frame, front and rear lights and a rear reflector. There is a white sticker on the frame with the number '22' from a recent race (as pictured). Fitted with new campagnolo khamsin asymmetric wheels. Silver front and rear brake callipers. Sigma wireless speedo mount and sensor on handlebars and front wheel. White painted seat stalk. Fitted with black clip-in pedals.Theft Description
Chained to the inside of Glasgow University Boat Club on Glasgow Green Sunday morning. Arrived at the boat house at 7.45, the bike was missing at 8am when I came back outside. Lock, bike and helmet missing.Recovery Description
Friend of mine spotted it whilst out and about, so lucky! If you spread the word on social media enough and ask people to keep an eye out, it really can pay off. My bike was chained to a fence when he found it, always good to call the police right away but if they cant come quickly (I waited 2 hours) or you need to leave it for a while, lock it up with your own lock so it can't move in the meantime. This website was a great help. I would also recommend the national bike register as they provide kits to help identify your bike. Another top tip is to definitely note the serial/frame number as well get some pictures of yourself with the bike, definitely helped with police! Will be keeping all bikes indoors or double locked from now on.
