Bike Description
Mud guards front and back, with newly replaced handlebars which are quite distinctive, much lower than the original. There are scratches on the head tube due to a basket that used to be there. There are some scratches on the down tube, too. The brake pads and front brake cable are new as well. There should also be 2 light mounts on the handlebars (one more than shown in the photo) as I installed an additional one after the photo was taken.Theft Description
I parked my bike inside Oriel College, at the island site (the building between King Edward Street and Oriel street), roughly the same spot I have parked my bike for the past 3 and a half years. I left my bike there at 8:53am when I arrived in Oriel College and when I came to retrieve it later the same day in the evening at 5:45pm, it was gone. I was informed by members of staff of the porter's lodge of Oriel College that there were construction workers on site and a back gate leading to King Edward Street which is usually closed and locked was open all day until roughly 4-ish pm while the construction workers were on site. It was either one of the workers or someone who saw the open gate and came in to take the bike out in a matter of seconds.
