Bike Description

Stolen Nuneaton Rail Station. Mizani Vivo gents hybrid. It had a new saddle with a red strip going the length over the cutout. There is a wired computer holder and magnet attached to the front. Both V-brake sets are new front/rear but come form different shops - Halfords/Decathlon. The wheel rims are mismatched as I had to replace the rear. The front has a slight wobble as the spokes needed tightening. There was a lock holder on the on seat post where the lock could be stored. It had full mudguards as in the picture. On the wheels were some soke reflectors, these went round the spokes like thin tubes. Rear pannier has a spring clip. It should be Smartwater marked at the bottom of the frame. Picture is of generic bike as I never though to photograph mine, will do next time.

Theft Description

Stolen while secured at the bike station on Platform 1 of Nuneaton Rail station between the hours of 12.45 and 17.20, 27th July. CCTV should be available as there are cameras on the entrance and bike racks. Bike was locked through frame, through bike rack bar and the front wheel; bike lock was not left behind.

Recovery Description

My bike was recovered after the BTP looked at the CCVT. They found the thief and arrested him, for my bike and more. My bike was Smartwater protected which helped. It also had a lot of modifications which helped it stand out. BTP returned my bike to the station from where I picked it up. It was not quite in good working order. Parts were missing from it and the wheels were half off, the thief had loosened the saddle, but not removed it. They had also let air out of the tyres, not all, just so the tyres were spongy (go figure). It had also been in the bushes as it had leaves trapped in odd places, that might account for the scratches on the frame. Glad to have it back, but now the work starts to get it back to a rideable state.
