Bike Description

Lapierre Audacio 400 aluminium road bike, 2012 model, size 55, grey frame with blue & white paint details; silver shimano tiagra components, SPD pedals, white saddle with some wear, custom blue handlebar tape (note: image shows white bar tape as new). At time of theft, bike had clip on rear mudguard secured with blue tape, two silver bottle cages and Cateye speed sensor fixed to left chainstay.

Theft Description

Bike taken from Royal Gate (East) entrance to Victoria Park, adjacent to Royal Inn on the Park. Due to my own haste, I neglected to lock the bike securely so it would have been quite easy to take.

Recovery Description

I recovered the bike by chance when I saw someone cycling it on the street. I stopped him, and after an initial argument where he claimed to have bought it from a friend, I explained that I had conclusive proof that it was mine (such as registered serial number and the key to the pitlock skewers) and phoned the police, he left the scene.
