Bike Description
2016 model, bought new from 50 Cycles in London in late 2015. Medium size frame. Pedelec, motor drives the crank. Hi-speed model - 350W motor cuts out at 28mph. Gates carbon belt driver. Alfine 11 speed hub gear. Big Ben tyres. Battery connection is somewhat worn so tied a jubilee clip around the downtube and battery. Photo is a stock image.Theft Description
Bike was chain-locked to a bike rack in the White Rose Centre on the outskirts of Leeds. Thieves (there were two) rode up on what turned out to be a stolen motorcycle. The front rider was wearing a helmet, the back rider had their face covered - this person then got off and used bolt croppers to break the chain and then switched on the bicycle and rode away. Smartphone video footage of this was captured by a passer-by. The chain and my helmet which I normally leave locked up with the bike were left behind.
