Bike Description

Matt black, blue and white writing for fuji logo, small 49 cm (19 inch) Fuji Road bike. Model 2.5 supreme 2014.  10 speed bike. I installed lights on the drop down handlebar, they flash red when you press then and stay red when pressed again. Has rear red led light. 5 LEDs in a row. Gives bright red flash. 4 modes. Also has black bottle cage on the diagonal tube. The bike has mtd SPD clip pedals. Very good condition as its only 6 months old. Its not a common road bike, so please if you see something similar let me know!!

Theft Description

The bike was chained up in a gated carpark with a master look heavy duty lock. Gated car park is right outside the entrance to the flat where I live. I know it was locked up on Sunday 15th at 4pm and was missing when I went down to cycle to work on Monday 16th at 8am. I believe my bike was targeted as it was one of four on the bike racks and the bike next to it was knocked over when I went to get it in the morning.     If you know anyone trying to sell on my bike or see someone riding my bike please contact me.

Recovery Description

I checked gumtree and ebay everyday to see if someone posted my bike for sale. (also used FindThatBike.com). saw it listed, contacted seller, arranged a meet for the next day. Meanwhile i had contacted my local police constabulary. they agreed to have two units despatched. Went to view the bike at the seller's home address, identified the bike as mine, brought it outside the address and the PCs handcuffed and took the seller to the police station. he was later interviewed and confessed to stealing my bike from my location and attempting to sell the bike on gumtree with the help of his mother. The police took my bike for evidence but i will be collecting it from them today. I was lucky that the theif was stupid enough to list my bike (which isn't a common bike) so soon after stealing it online and only a few roads down from where i live! Good luck to all of those who have had their bike stolen. Be sure to register your bike and take note of the serial number on the frame. Also, the more custom stuff (new parts added) the better you can identify your bike. I had a Masterlock bike lock which is a thick chain with material casing. I will use a D lock from now on and keep my bike indoors as much as i can. Out of sight.
