Bike Description

Bought in Sept 1996, so now nearly 25 years old, and looks it. 21 speed. Straight(ish) handlebars  on adjustable stem, both metallic, unpainted. Black rubber handgrips (badly worn). All steel frame with 501 tubing. Cantilever brakes. Bor Yueh rear pannier carrier, was originally black but paint now mostly flaked off, so showing bare metal. Carrier has black plastic fitting for rear lamp. Excellent  bell on right hand of handlebars - stainless steel dome, approx 90mm diameter, loud and cheerful sounding. Various redundant fittings on handlebars. Standard pedals with no clips. Front fork on right hand side has redundant sensor for computer feed signal. Disgraceful saddle, with worn surface fabric and missing fixing at front so that the point of the saddle springs up skywards when not secured in place by the rider's bulk. The attached photograph is not of my bike, but it is the right model and colour, and is very similar in general appearance.
