Bike Description

1. Brand new Continental Grand Prix tyres - a Grand Prix 400s II on the rear, and a Grand Prix 400s I on the front. These were purchased on ebay on 27 Jan, 2019.
2. Blue hooded shifters and brakes fitted (taken from a Triban 500 2016) to replace the original (very different) shifters. These have a distinctive blue hood which makes them look a bit odd on a red bike. I'm not sure that you can purchase these blue hooded shifters individually, without buying an entire Triban 500SE bike, which is no longer in production.
3. Original brakes removed and replaced with SRAM Apex Black Brakes. Purchased on Amazon on 15 May 2018
4. Folding ABUS lock fitted to upright bottle holder.
5. Black teflon brake cabling fitted to all brakes and gears. This includes black metal end-caps on the cabling.
6. Rear wheel has been replaced from the original black metal with a silver metal wheel, it's dirty so it looks black, but it's silver instead of the default black that came with this bike.
9. Decathlon carbon fibre effect grip tape fitted to the handlebars, it is coming apart where the bends are as I didn't fit it very well.
10. Bike makes a strange clicking sound when cycled under stress as the headset is worn and was due for replacement.
11. Chip mark in front of seatpost where lock has rubbed on it whilst wrapped around the seatpost whilst cycling
12. Chip in the word 'aluminium', obscuring the letter 'n' on the back A-frame of the bike, on the left hand side.
The tyres and brakes alone are significantly more valuable than the bike, so are an unusual thing to find on such a bike.
