Theft Description

Two white men in sunglasses and hi-vis vests forced the secure car park gates. Broke lock, may have damaged spokes and walked off with bike. Captured on CCTV at 2.15pm. Update: the police contacted me in December 2016 to say they'd apprehended the two guys that stole my bike. They were able to link them to the theft of my bike with the clear CCTV footage taken on the apartment buildings' equipment. They used police keys you can apparently buy off the internet to obtain access to the secured car park. The housing developers had failed to take adequate security precautions, putting the door release button too close to the bike store door. After my bike, the guys helped themselves to a further 8 bikes over the course of three weeks. The policeman told me they were being charged with 26 counts of bike thefts in January 2017. Unfortunately none of the bikes were recovered as they suspected they'd been sold on (most probably, though not certainly, at Brick Lane's Saturday Market.) The search continues...
