Bike Description
It's got a lefty fork and a large rear shock, fairly thin tyres for a mountain bike. Front gears are 2-speed with 12 at the back, no dropper post but switches for both sets of suspension. Rear mudguard shown in picture was removed at time of theft.Theft Description
Bike was kept in a padlocked shed at the rear of my house. Thieves will have climbed the fence, then unscrewed the hinges of the shed door and stolen the bike, probably in a team of 2 or 3.Recovery Description
The bike had been traded to a fence who put it up for sale on gumtree, I found the advert through findthatbike and arranged to see it. Upon arrival I asked to take it for a test ride and just rode away with it. I then took it to a police station and explained the situation, after which the police contacted the fence and explained everything to them. The police were satisfied with the evidence I provided that it was mine and allowed me to keep it. No-one has been charged with an offence.
