Stolen Boardman – Comp (hardtail MTB)

Bike Description

The frame (size large) was fitted with black RockShox Recon 351 forks (‘U-turn’ adjustable travel, coil-based suspension - with lock-out knob on top of right fork leg).

The bike had an SRAM X7 rear derailleur and X5 front derailleur, with X5 shifter pods. Truvativ GXP crankset (possibly Firex 3.1) on a Truvativ GXP bottom bracket (which had slight play on the non-drive side), fitted with 22/32/44 rings and plain Wellgo(?) flat pedals (with slightly loose bearings). It had a KMC X9 chain, and (I think) a standard SRAM PG950 11-32T 9-speed cassette.

The brakes were Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes, front & rear.

The handlebar stem was Ritchey OS (100mm), with Ritchey OS riser bars (approx. 680mm width).

It had a Ritchey micro-adjust seatpost and black Boardman saddle.

The wheelset was standard for the bike (I think they were Ritcheys (front and rear) - not sure of the hubs, but they were cup and cone bearings, not sealed cartridge units. Inner tubes had Schraeder valves and the tyres (which I think were Continentals) had a block tread pattern and were fairly new.

The steerer had red alloy headset spacers, and the bars had grey Lizard Skin Lock-on grips with (scuffed) red lock rings.

The gear cable to rear derailleur was cut long and was coiled up and secured in a loop with black tape.

There was a small coloured cable-tie around the plastic bottom-bracket cable guide (behind the bottom of the seat tube, where the cable angles up to the front derailleur) – this was to stop the front derailleur cable from slipping out of the guide.
