Bike Description

Postcoded BN11 1LH on the bottom bracket. Very recognisable chrome forks, not badged but made of Reynolds 531 tubing. Lugged frame, light Durifort 888 tubing, Mavic parts, 10 speed, a Middlemores leather saddle, which would really stand out, especially as the manufacturers plate at the back had torn the rivet on one side so it was usually hanging off, 1" narrow section alloy wheels, 'STARNORD' decals on the seat tube, quite a few scratches etc, some with rust converter on them which had stained the paint.

Theft Description

Taken to a bike shop (Westham Cycles in Weymouth) for renovation. Went back several times to check on its progress and was always given answers delaying its return. On the last time I returned to the shop it had closed down. In subsequent contact with the former owner he made reassurances that the bike would be returned but he is now uncontactable. Apparently quite a few people lost their bikes through the closure of this shop. He had my contact details. He could have called me any time to retrieve my bike. As he didn't I have to assume that it was sold on as it was a classic French racer worth in the region of £150 to £450 restored. Dishonest appropriation... Sec 1 Theft Act. Stolen.
