Bike Description
Black Edition Brompton bikes feature a number of key components in black rather than the usual silver. My bike had a Swytch e-bike conversion kit installed. Also a rear luggage rack for a bag. It was stolen in a violent attack in the Well Street Common area of Hackney, London.Theft Description
A violent attack and targeted theft of a Brompton Black Edition (Serial Number: 2007300231 | Frame number: 779238). The thieves must be well-known to local Police, and operate frequently in this area of Well Street Common, Hackney. The attack took place in broad daylight at 18:00 on Sat 27 March 2022. The 5 attackers were on moped/dirt bikes wearing all-black sports-style clothing. I was ambushed as I left Well Street Common, on Bradstock Road, towards Homerton. The thieves cornered me and my bike between parked cars. When I didn't give the bike up easily they repeatedly kicked and punched my face and head. The attack took around 2 minutes in total. There were some witnesses, but very difficult to identify the gang, as they were dressed in full black sports gear, with face coverings.
