Recovery Description

I reported to the police initially. Checked sites regularly for a while then after 6 weeks I spotted it on Gumtree. Phoned police for advice who initially said not much they can do as I had little proof and no serial number. Made contact with seller posing as customer and set meet time and place. On further advice tried police again and was eventually able to make a compelling case due to enough customisable parts on bike, receipts etc. and the meet time and place was set. They agreed to intercept and got my bike back and arrested the seller. He claimed he'd bought it but still handling goods. Was quite lucky as the police task force for stolen bikes happened to be in area at time and meet place was public not an address; however, they were excellent.
