Theft Description

On the 18/06/2018, the above bike was stolen at a caravan site at Hemel Hempstead HP2 7HW, after dropping it off to a potential buyer. The site consists of a community of Irish travellers living there, in which many of them played a huge role in this if not all. I came to drop off the bike to a potential buyer who agreed to buy the quad for his sons birthday. He had a broad English (cockney) accent and sounded genuine over the phone. Upon arrival, I was directed to the camper site (little did I know). The personal (potential buer) was a young fella, slim built and about 5ft8 who came over to inspect the quad and acted as a genuine buyer in person. He then tested the quad an rode off with the bike at a location within the site. Just a few yards away, there was a group of Irish males (about 10) who approached me in an aggressive manor and acted in a way in which they had no role in this (the innocent hustler talk). All of this happened within minutes in front of the majority of community including their own children. Non one seemed to have cared or helped. I then left the site for my own safety and contacted the police immediately who are currently dealing with this. Please do look out for the quad bike and be aware of buying a 2003 model with the same frame number as mine. This is a huge lesson learnt and I hope people reading this become wary when it comes to dropping bikes off to people, especially of such kind. I hope that KARMA hits them 10 times as hard. Thanks for reading. Please do share and get the message out there. There is a reward of £100 if quad is found and returned. Anyone with any information please contact the police quoting crime reference number 41/8555/18.
