Theft Description

WHERE: I left my bike locked up in the cycle racks on the Ridgemont Road car park of St Albans City train station. WHEN: The theft occurred between 8:15am on Tuesday 14th May, when I locked up my bike at the station, and 10pm on Wednesday 15th May when I returned to find my bike missing. I locked my bike using a Kryptonite D-Lock secured around the main frame and rear wheel of the bike. The bike was positioned underneath a security camera in the lower rack of the two storey cycle rack. On Thursday 16th May Thameslink staff at St Albans city station informed me that two men had been seen stealing 4 bikes from the Ridgemont Road car park cycle racks the previous day (Wednesday 15th May). They had boarded a train into London with 2 of the bikes. They were arrested off the train at one of the London Thameslink stations and recovered 2 bikes.
