Theft was from a back garden down lairgate. We assume the criminal climbed over the locked back gate (using the bin) & then opened the gate to escape. The gate was open & the bin was pushed up against the gate. To leave the area you would have had to go back down lairgate as the alleyway is isolated (i.e. only residents really use the access & this is a dead end)
