Bike Description

A Raleigh Silhouette with racing handles and a Mixte frame from the 1970s or thereabouts. It is sea green (pastel) in colour, with a very rusty chain and seat that is severely damaged (the leather is cracked so the sponge is exposed over the majority of it) that also has the words "Bella Italia Lady" painted onto the left side. The mudguard on the rear wheel is broken: the bottom half snapped off in the cold because it became very brittle and there is a hole in the remaining bit where the wires holding the mudguard in place have detached. There was a weathered "OxBicycles" sticker on the metal tube holding the seat. The bike is also registered with the Oxford University Security Services so has a "TRACEABLE" sticker with a reference number - which I can't remember at present, but have a copy at my family home that I hope to get hold of in the next couple of days. I had also just put on four new brake pads at the beginning of the month. The bike also has a built in metal bike pump that sits on the main body and an old rear bike light on the right hand side of the rear wheel that does not work. A second non-working rear light is attached to the pole where the seat is. The photos I include with this are from when I purchased it approx. four years ago. The handle bar tape on the right side has also unravelled.

Theft Description

The bike was locked to one of the cycle racks outside the Oxford train station on Friday 20th January at around 17:45. I returned on Sunday 22nd January at 21:30 to find the bike missing and the remnants of the lock (OnGuard cable lock) on the floor.
