Bike Description
Hi guys! Very sad to say that when I woke up this morning my beloved Raleigh Chopper was stolen from the garden bike shed here Central Essex. She is a Horizon Blue 1971 crossover that’s been converted to look like a 70. She has whitewall tyres on at the moment, and the paint is pitted and rusty from heavy use. She is unique as most parts are reproductions or just plain worn out. There was more sentimental value to her than actual value so it was quite a poorly thought out theft, honestly. The rear hub will be stamped with a 3 for March and 71 for 1971. Thankfully these photos show it almost exactly as it was stolen. Brown seat, big chrome bell, white grips, whitewall tyres with plastic ever ready lights. Please keep an eye out for these stripped parts and let me know if you see anything, I’m counting on you! Stolen from my communal garden in Braintree, Essex. Most likely early afternoon on the 23rd September. Bolt cutters were used to free my bike from the metal bike rack. Essex and London Police aware and the male was caught on the building CCTV. For sentimental reasons, I desperately want it returned to me! A reward is offered.
Have been told my bike was advertised on Gumtree earlier today for sale in the Hackney area.
