Bike Description
Marin hybrid bike in excellent condition. Greyish in colour with sweeping top bar. Has an 'upright' riding position but I had changed front handlebar position to compensate a bit. Suspension on front. Had rear pannier holder attatched to seat (free standing) and rear panniers on. Lots of rear lights and two front lights. Had silver broke stand that was covered in parts with black tape. Had an old 'honking' style horn on too. Not many of these bikes around. Pic is not actual bike but an image search- my bike is (was) the exact same.Theft Description

You won't believe this story but it is the absolute truth! I've had alerts set up on Ebay, Gumtree, etc with no luck. I couldn't stop looking at people riding past my house in case they were on my bike. Yesterday I went to our local bike shop to buy a pump for my sons bike as it had been stolen on mine. On leaving the shop a guy asked me to help him as his tyres were flat. I said how lucky eh! I took one look at the bike and it was mine! It has been stripped of everything so I wasn't so sure. I took my time pumping up the tyre and noticed the bike stand that I had repaired in work. It was definitely mine!! The lad said he has bought it for £30 but I can't be sure he wasn't the original theif either. He gave me the bike there and then, shook my hand and walked off! I didn't know what to do as I'm not much of a fighter but he did give me the name of who he says he bought it off. Now I have my bike back with different wheels, no breaks at all- and I mean no breaks, no callipers, cables, nothing! And a different seat and stem. The frame looks good so I'm going to have to decide whether to save it or not.
