Bike Description
Frame is 3 years old but some other parts, including back wheel & rim chain and disk rotor replaced within last few months. 'Giant' brand name in white on frame. Original plastic saddle which has a small gash at the front revealing fam underneath. Original handlebars etc. Hydraulic brakes. When stolen had steel pannier rack attached over back wheel with two luggage tie-hooks. Detached from front wheel when stolen (see below)Theft Description
Taken from an open-air, partly fenced off bike storage area in the residents' car park for the block of flats where I live. Following earlier thefts of wheels (front and rear in separate incidents) the bike had been TRIPLE locked to a metal hoop there. Thieves must have cut through a chain lock placed through rear wheel and frame and locked to hoop and another (admittedly flimsy) lock looped over crossbar and hoop. They left the bike's front wheel D-locked with a third lock to the hoop.
