It had a removable black mesh basket with handle attached to handlebars. This bike was brought from Decathlon in france and has  oposite brake handles and gear changers than a normal UK bike, the gear shifts are on both handle grip areas and lower gear shifts to the left. Two wing mirrors also fixed to the handlebar.  Locked with a heavy duty covered chain and  push in lock. The bike was laying  against the wall of The Gables pub and the Solicitors Birchall blackburn close to the bus shelter at the top of Hough Lane. LEYLAND Asda end. Time was between 2.50 and 3.10 in the afternoon on Monday.I had to lay it against a low wall because it was quite windy and it wouldn't stand up.

Theft Description

Bike wheel chained to the frame with heavy duty chain and locked and rested against a low wall outside a solicitors office that I had an appointment at 3.00pm, was early so announced myself to the receptionist and was Asked to wait for 15 mins, went out to pharmacy next door and the Sue Ryder shop on the end of the block of shops. Went round the corner to the florist and came back in what must have been 10 minutes to notice my bike gone, lots of people about and there was a bus stop ( to  Croston)very close by. Workmen putting a huge new decked seating area outside The Gables pub said didn't see anything as they were down the side of the pub, lots of normal activity asked all around but no one remembers seeing anything,  I asked a shop assistant in a doorway looking around if he saw anything but he said no, asked at the shops and nothing. Then a police officer lady appeared on another assignment and took my details, rang  101 to give a better description of the bike. This is a French model bike and the brakes and gears are on oposite handlebars , all black fittings and unusual black derrallier gear cover protector. Picture to follow. Thanks to all in Leyland for helping
