Bike Description

Byocycles Unisex City Speed Folding Electric bike with 20 inch wheels, weighing 21kg. It has a black frame with silver handle bars and the green and white Byocycles logo on the frame. On the left hand side of the handlebars, there is the control pad to control the level of peddle assist for the bike. On the right hand side, is a black bell and the gear controls. The large silver battery sits underneath the bike saddle, in front of the rear wheel. However, the electric bike was stolen without the battery so in the state it was stolen in, there would be a gap where the battery would normally go. It also has a front and rear light and the front light is powered by the bikes battery and turned on and off via the control pad on the left of the handle bars, and the rear, red light is powered by a normal battery inside the light and is powered by a on/off button on the light itself. The back wheel also contains the motor which is powered by the large battery and the whole bike is peddle assist.

Theft Description

Our bike shed in our garden was broken into. Someone used tools to break part of the shed holding the lock and the shed remains damaged. The bike shed is surrounded by a 6ft fence so we don't know the motives of the person entering our garden in the first place. The theft took place either Monday night or Tuesday morning (19/01/2021) but it is suspected to have been possibly Tuesday morning between 10 am and 12 pm because it was not discovered by anyone until midday. When it was discovered, the bike shed doors were wide open and the part holding the lock was snapped off and our back gate was left wide open.
