Recovery Description

This bike was stolen from Cobden Road, Brighton on overnight 11/12 April 2019, crime reference number 47190059193. On 21 June 2019 at 1430, I saw this bike locked on Norfolk Road, Hove to a bike stand using a new Kryptonite lock. Only the frame was locked to the stand, not the wheels. I checked the bike, and found that it matched the description I gave Sussex Police, BikeRegister, and Findthatbike.co.uk/stolen-bikes.co.uk at the time of it being stolen. It also had the serial number 000000002229 as is recorded on the BikeRegister system. I therefore reported the discovery to Sussex Police, who advised that, given I could prove the bike was the one stolen from me in April 2019, I was free to have it removed from the lock/stand for retrieval. I therefore enlisted the help of a friend who had tools to do this. On getting the bike home, I updated BikeRegister to reconfirm the details and could 100% categorically prove it is the bike that was stolen from Cobden Road originally.
