Stolen B’Twin Riverside 500

, 1/02/2021-11/03/2021 £100

Bike Description

It is a Decathlon B'Twin Riverside 500 bike in silver with dark grey and Fluro yellow accents/ stripes on the top bar of the frame and by the back wheel. It has a non-standard gel seat that I added which you can see the green gel inside by two clear 'slits' or windows in the top of the seat. It was also stolen with a powerful two bulb light for cycling at night strapped to the handlebars in metallic red along with the battery pack for that light strapped to the frame. It also had a small light blue bag that straps underneath the bike seat and has a red light clipped to the back of it. It also has a kickstand added and a special clip on the seat post with an orange/ yellow button designed for the bike lock I had to slot into it.

Theft Description

My bike was stolen from inside the communal entranceway to my block of flats. It is usually kept underneath the stairway to not be seen from the front door or road and had a bike lock threaded through the wheels to secure it although there is nothing to chain the bike directly to available. Unfortunately, the main entrance door to the block of flats is normally left unlocked so, if the person knew the building well enough they might easily get inside. Although they would need to know the bike was there and bring something to cut/ break the lock on it. There are two other bikes left in the hallway untouched so I believe my bike was the only one stolen as it probably looks the newest of them. I noticed that the bike was missing when I came back from a walk in the evening on Thursday 12/03/2021, however, as I have been working from home during quarantine and not using it regularly I cannot exactly be sure when I last saw it for sure, but it was still here after I came back from my parent's house for Christmas.
